The EU FLEGT Facility with offices at EFI headquarters in Joensuu, in Brussels and in Kuala Lumpur supports the Commission and EU Member States in implementing the EU FLEGT Action Plan, especially Voluntary Partnership Agreements. Established in 2007, the Facility is hosted and managed by the European Forest Institute (EFI) and financed by the Commission and Member States.

The Facility is working with a growing number of partner countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. In Asia, the Facility executes a Regional Asia FLEGT Support Programme to support the implementation of the EU FLEGT Action Plan in the Asian region.
